All handmade, absolutely all natural ingredients with Japan grown vegetables.
Ground meat, white cabbage, onion, chives, ginger and garlic. We only use Japan grown vegetables, finely chopped, and mixed to best flavor. The mixing process is given the most attention because it is very important; the happiness of enjoying the Gyo-za is immediately felt with the textures and juicy Gyo-za insides.
Without the use of lard and preservatives, it brings out the additional fresh and flavorful taste in your mouth as you enjoy the Yanagitei Gyo-za. This is the secret recipe developed by the owner.
Making of the skin is actually more difficult than making the Gyo-za inside. Handmaking Gyo-za skin provides more strength to the skin; the taste cannot be compared to mass produced, machine made gyo-za skin. Not using preservatives on any part of our recipe also means that we demand fresh and cannot reuse left-over ingredient. Mass produced gyo-za skin have preservative that allows maximum profit. Yanagitei Gyo-za believes taste and safety requires much attention in the world we live.
The combining of chewy skin and juicy Gyo-za inside comes together in perfect harmony. Professional technique with consistent strength makes evenly sized and firmness of the Gyo-za.

Once you chew the perfectly thickened skin, while your mouth is filled with juice of Gyo-za inside, the taste of quality and freshness will not be forgotten.
We have 3 verieties of Gyo-za; fried, boiled, and soup. Of course, our main dish (4th batter-up) is fried Gyo-za. However, we are very confident that you will enjoy our boiled and soup Gyo-za.
The attention to healthy ingredient also means that the soup does not have chemical/preservatives. Our boiled Gyo-za taste great with black vinegar for the fresh and clean taste. Bring your loved ones or friends and try all 3 varieties.
